The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is announcing an expansion of service by providing prior authorization and travel coordination for Alaska Native/American Indian Medicaid beneficiaries through the ANMC Travel Management Office.
ANTHC is pleased to partner with the State of Alaska in this change to Medicaid travel management that will better serve our people. By elevating ANTHC’s role in coordination and management of Medicaid approved travel, our intention is to provide a higher level of customer service and create efficiencies in travel.
We are pleased to share that the Anchorage Service Unit, SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium, Bristol Bay Area Native Health Corporation, Arctic Slope Native Association, Tanana Chiefs Conference and Maniilaq Association have chosen to partner with us for Medicaid prior authorization and travel coordination.
We will begin overseeing travel management for the Anchorage Service Unit (ASU) beginning July 18, 2016, and phasing in our other partnering Tribal health organizations on July 25, 2016. Please reference the attached fact sheet and process map that outline the new travel coordination process between the ANMC Travel Management Office and the continued services that will be provided by Xerox.
In response to customer-owner comments and concerns, ANMC created the Quyana Care Coordination Center to standardize travel coordination. The goal of the Quyana Care Coordination Center is to make the journey to and from ANMC as easy and stress-free as possible for our customer-owners. To this end we are coordinating travel to ANMC like never before, coordinating arrangements with specialty clinics and regional health providers, and providing our customer-owners with one number to call 24 hours a day.
The Quyana Care Coordination agents coordinate travel to ANMC, making lodging arrangements and providing Anchorage airport and hotel transportation information.
Upon confirmation of appointments and travel, customer-owners, specialty clinics and regional health providers will receive a confirmed appointment letter with key travel information. Agents will also call our customer-owners prior to their travel date to ensure they are ready to make the journey to ANMC and to review travel information.
The Quyana Care Coordination Center is yet one more step we are taking to provide the very best care and health care experience to our customer-owners.
