4th Floor Inpatient Units

ANMC’s adult inpatient neurosurgery, orthopedic and surgery units are located on the fourth floor. The two units on this floor, Four East (4E) and Four West (4W), each have 23 beds and a combination of single and double occupancy rooms. Private rooms are reserved for patients requiring isolation or special treatments. The 4W Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Unit provides care for a myriad of neurosurgery and orthopedic post-operative patients. The 5E Surgery Unit provides care to adults who are hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions requiring surgery. Our providers and nursing staff also prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide the post-surgical care required until the time of discharge. Our nursing staff working in 4E and 4W has received extensive training and provide high-quality patient care, with many of our nurses having medical-surgical and orthopedic specialty nursing certifications.
