Alaska Native Medical Center

The DAISY and BEE Award

Honoring our exceptional caregivers

DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence

Our Alaska Native Medical Center’s staff are viewed as respected partners, collaborators and leaders. They are constantly seeking ways to improve the services and care we provide, from processes and initiatives to technology and equipment. Many of our nurses continually strive to strengthen and expand their own skills, as well.

In an effort to further recognize our nurses for their outstanding work, ANMC partnered with the DAISY Award, an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. ANMC presents the DAISY Award quarterly to a RN who regularly goes above and beyond in the care they provide.

BEE Award for Exceptional Care Providers

New! The BEE (Being Excellent Every Day) award has been created to recognize our exceptional caregivers who strive to provide the very best care to our patients every day. The BEE Award will also be presented quarterly to celebrate the skillful, compassionate care provided to our patients every day.

How to Nominate a member of our care team for the BEE or DAISY Award

Patients, their families and fellow ANMC staff can nominate a member of their care team. You can nominate them by submitting this form. Nomination forms and collection boxes are also placed throughout the ANMC hospital if you would like to submit a paper nomination form.

Honorees will be selected quarterly and each honoree will be recognized at a public ceremony in her or his unit or department. For questions about nominating an ANMC care team member, please email ANTHCDAISY@anthc.org.
