Can rural nurses participate in the internship program?
Yes, rural nurses can travel to ANMC for the course, or we can arrange to bring the course to you through distance delivery. Contact us to arrange a course for your facility.
How do I participate in the internship program?
The Nursing Internship Program is for ANMC employees. (Please do not confuse this program with the Summer Internship Program that ANTHC offers. Please see the ANTHC web site for more information on their internship program.)
The process for participation is as follows:
- Apply for a specific position at the ANTHC web site.
- After you are hired you will go through hospital orientation.
- You need to get in touch with your unit manager.
- Your unit manager will notify the internship staff and schedule you for the next course.
- We will contact you and your manager with the class beginning date and location.
When do the intern classes start and end?
We have 3 classes a year. They start ususally in February, July, and October. The classes have 10 sessions each. These sessions meet once a week, on Tuesdays.
How long is each session?
The sessions usually run from 12pm to 5pm.

Do we offer resources to prepare the NCLEX?
Yes. Please look at the Intern Resources page, on this web site. The web base course maybe purchased for newly hired graduates. Please contact internship staff upon hire.
