Magnet Site Visit Update: Did You know?

ANMC received two exemplars:
	Interdisciplinary relationships Community partnerships
ANMC received one deficiency out of 169 standards:
	Communication, specifically vertical and horizontal communication at all levels which is part of Force #3-Management Style
The Magnet Site Visit report will be completed by the Appraisers and submitted to the Magnet Commission. We should know the decision sometime in June. We are very proud of ourselves and everyone who contributed to a fantastic showcase of our hospital!

What's new in Nursing at ANMC?

We are currently awaiting the results from our Magnet Re-designation Process. The site visit was re-scheduled for March 31st through April 2nd, 2008. Click on the following link to view details about the site visit (note that the dates have changed). Magnet site visit public notice

Magnet Champions are working to promote the Forces of Magnetism at ANMC. There are Magnet Champion retreats once per quarter. The next retreat is June, 2008. Magnet Champions have recently implemented a back to school supply drive for school districts in remote Alaska.

Our evidence-based Practice Internship is underway, with five new projects beginning in February, 2007.
