Patients

Welcome to the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC).  Your care team includes highly trained physicians and staff, and skilled nursing care focused on your needs.

This page is designed to help you to get around ANMC our many services.

The following information is intended to help you plan for admission to the hospital.  More questions?  Talk with your doctor or his or her case manager.

Television
Color television sets are provided free of charge in each room. ANMC’s television system includes select radio channels and closed caption for the hard of hearing.
Valuable or lost items
Patients and guests are advised not to bring items of value to the hospital. If you do bring a valuable item, it may be placed in a unit lock box. You will be given a written receipt for all items, which must be presented when you withdraw them. The hospital does not accept responsibility for items of value unless they are deposited in the lock boxes and you have a receipt. If you are missing something, please notify your nurse at once, and we will make every effort to assist you in finding it. Unclaimed articles are turned in to the Security Office, where they are kept for 30 days. To inquire about lost articles, please call Security at 729-2915 or via the switchboard by dialing “O.”
Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available on all nursing units and at the emergency room entrances. Please ask for assistance from a member of the hospital staff, as getting in and out of them without assistance may be hazardous. We ask that wheelchairs be returned to the unit from which they came.
Outpatient information
If you are coming to ANMC for a clinic visit or staying in Quyana House for outpatient care, you may find the resources on the Visitor information page to be of value to you.
